School

I believe that school is a huge influence.  I have learned so much from going to school.  Back when I was in high school I honestly never thought I would continue on to college.  I did not like school at all.  A year or so after I got out of school I missed it.  I did not have the time to go back so I waited a few more years.  Now that I am taking classes I have really grown to like school.  I like to  meet new people and add a little challenge to life.  Going back to school is going to help me get a better job to support my son and I so I do the best that I can do.  I have hit some really rocky times the past few months but I am back at almost full swing and can not wait to graduate.  Graduating means a lot to me not only because of the outcome but I didn't graduate high school so this will be a huge accomplishment for me.

Plagiarism

I believe that it is important to site your sources.  It is important so that each individual gets credit for their hard work.  If you do not site your source then it is considered plagiarism. Plagiarism is a big deal and could have serious consequences.  If I worked hard and invented something and wrote a book ect. and someone copied my idea or took my words I am not sure exactly what I would do but I know I would be upset and figure out something to do about it. 

Critical Thinking

I love being an online student.  I wanted to go back to school but (at the time I enrolled) I was working 4 jobs and had a 2 year old son.  I didn't get to see my son as much and didnt have time to sit in a classroom. I sell Tastefully Simple and I can talk in front of complete strangers with no problem but when I am in class I find it hard to talk.  I like how it is flexible.  I usually do my school work when my son is sleeping.  I am actually doing alot better with online classes than I did all through school.  I think because I am kinda teaching myself with the help of others.  I like the fact that we meet once a week in seminar it helps alot.  I have friends that are taking online classes and they do not meet with the teacher nor do they have discussions.  They do not interact with other people.  I am not to sure that I would be able to do all that.  I like it just the way it is and do not think I would change anything at this time.
